Youth Housing and Homelessness Mediation
Supporting Young People Towards Stability and Safety
We believe every young person deserves safety, stability and a future they feel proud of. When relationships break down, at home, with caregivers, landlords or in supported accommodation, housing insecurity can follow quickly.

Who we help
We support young people aged 16–25 who are at risk of, or already experiencing, homelessness, as well as the people and services around them:
Families & Caregivers
Helping navigate relationship breakdowns at home and rebuild communication.
Local Authorities
Working alongside councils, housing associations and social services to stabilise housing.
Landlords & Housing Providers
Mediating issues in tenancies or supported accommodation to prevent escalation.
Charities & Community Organisations
Coordinating with youth services and local support networks around the young person.
Schools & Colleges
Supporting education settings when a student’s living situation becomes a concern.

Youth Housing and Homelessness Mediation
How it works
Initial Contact
We listen, understand what’s happening and explore whether mediation is the right approach.
Individual Conversations
We speak to each person separately so everyone can share their perspective openly and safely.
Preparation
We help each person get ready — identifying worries, boundaries and what a positive outcome looks like.
Mediation Session
A calm, neutral space (in person or online) where we guide the conversation and help everyone be heard. We remain impartial throughout — we don’t take sides or make decisions for anyone. Our role is to support fair, respectful communication so young people and the adults around them can find a way forward together.
Agreements & Next Steps
We work towards practical, realistic solutions that support stability and safety.
Preparation & Follow-Up Support
We check in afterwards and help young people stay connected to the right support networks.

Testimonial
How mediation could have changed my situation
"When I was kicked out of home at the age of 18, I had nowhere to go, which had a large impact on my social life, my mental health and my physical health from not having appropriate support. I believe mediation would have helped massively at this time as it would have allowed for issues to be solved and rectified prior to them becoming major and would have helped me avoid being homeless. I also believe all the parties involved in the situation would have benefited from being able to talk things out and come to a compromise in a successful manner with help, instead of ending up going no contact for an extended period of time. My situation may not be like yours, but I believe mediation has a chance to help solve all issues at the start instead of letting them fester and get worse. It's a worthwhile thing to attempt before any finalities are put into place."
